Five exposures in distinct shapes on a black background, showing narrow streets, with buildings in a multitude of materials; there are small signs of informal building practices that lend the space a personal character. By Troels Heiredal

Five discrete exposures, in distinct geometrical shapes, overlap in the centre of a black field. The photos are of narrow streets, with buildings in a multitude of materials; there are small signs of informal building practices that lend the space a personal character. The colours are moot, and the feel of the space is residential. At the top of the composition, two right trapezoids are mirrored across from each other, with a black space between them echoing that of the streetscape in the square photo below.

2025 // ESSAY // INTERVIEW // REVIEW // arq // CAMBRIDGE, UK

Explorations of Autistic Architectural Approach, in essay, poetry, photography, and an interview conversation with philosopher and visual artist Dr. Erin Manning. And a review of The Architecture of Disability by David Gissen.

Autistic Architectural Perception is a mix of prose, poetry, and my photo work Street Constellations, describing the intersectionality between the works and how they inform each other. This is a reflection of my Autietype (a term for Autistic writing), which challenges the typical architectural writing.
